Mary's Goals

Where do you even begin on the "what I want to accomplish on this trip" category? I'm a decent list maker. I'll take that approach:

1. Become a completely different person. (Shoot for the stars, right?)

2. READ! READ! READ! This was actually a New Years goal, in general. Hoping to crank out at least 2 books a month on this trip... Any suggestions?

3. Become more transparent as a person, but wear less transparent clothing.

4. Write personal notes to my family often... Making clear that we're still closer than any transparent blog can bring us.

5. Come home alone. Well, with Murphy, of course, but sans any children that my biological clock is telling me are bound for the states by way of ME.

6. Don't be afraid to bring a (worthy) guy back home. The days of shutting out (American?) guys are over...

7. Barring legit safety concerns, say "yes" to all challenges, adventures, and non-comfort zone ideas that people throw out on this trip.

8. Read Murphy's goals, and add those to my list.

9. Remember, always, that I'm the luckiest little chick to be on this trip, and take advantage accordingly.

10. Gain a sense of self-awareness and what's important in life. Then, somehow, figure out how to put that into practice upon my return. (This is all starting to sound difficult.)

11. Keep in mind that there's always another cute guy with an equally darling accent in the next town we're headed to.

12. Have FUN!

13. Try to Skype with Landry and Emily as often as possible. I actually hate the thought of missing out on their growth.

14. Don't stress too much about my roots, but be sure to stay as blonde as possible.

15. Stay open to where ever things lead to, with people, flights, and bottles of wine... without any restriction or rules.
